I understand your loyalty to Tejas, I can see that in your signature, but his post is in the General section, and he was asking about other tuners as well.
I was simply giving him an alternative.

Any recomendations for dyno tuning an R1 in Houston.

Tejas offer 3xruns before and 3xruns after for $225 dollars. Seemed like a good deal. Do they do ggod work?

You mean like when you posted this back in February a month before they were sponsors?

Not flaming either one of you, and I'm well aware of the forum rules.
Also nothing against Tejas, I've heard good reviews on their tuning, but have never done anything with them first hand so I can't make a recommendation one way or the other.
I have done business with Johnny and he has always done a great job.
If Chris thinks my post is advertising I'm sure he'll edit it.

And Mike, if you can find time to post replies to me, try to find the time to get my sight tool back to me as well.

Bike Booked in.

Bike Booked in for sat.

2010 R1, JETT Tunning re-flash, K+N, Austin Racing Moto GP2 exhaust,PC5,airbox mod and smog plates,,,,,fingers crossed 160BHP+???? Would settle for smooth throttle and a bit more torque to be honest.

Will post graph when done.

Have completely removed my 02 sensor. I see that the PC5 has an 02 optimiser?? Do i need the 02 sensor to run the PC5????

Cheese is the man to see about ECU editing too. I have seen an 08 Busa bust 203 in the standing mile on a Cheese tune, MR9 and a stock motor. No spray and no turbo. The owner and rider is a member here.

Who is this "local tuner" that Patrick talks about? He states it like almost insinuating that it might be Tejas. Don't put all local tuners in one category based on a single experience. Lots of good reviews here for Tejas's tuner, reasonably priced and local so why not try them?

I say name names or don't bother commenting.

I've known about Johnny Cheese for many years and he's highly recommended also. But more expensive and a 330 mile round trip drive to get there from Houston. However he used to have an annual open house day and would even do some low/no cost dyno runs as time permitted that day. Not sure if he still does this though.

The op says he already made a appointment with Tejas so no need to argue it anymore.

Good job op you will love the tune!
You're getting pretty good about talking about stuff you don't know about.
We no longer do dyno tuning, haven't for a while now. So I don't have a horse in this race. I was providing the name of a tuner I've had good experience with and that does a good job.

There you go talking out your again.
I, or any of my employees, have never taken a bike to Tejas.

Instead of worrying about Tejas how about you take care of your business, and return my sight tool you've had for months. The one you were going to machine an adapter for?
The same one that you said you were going to bring back a month ago and haven't yet, right about the time you started ignoring my pm's and phone calls asking about it. At what point does not returning an item become theft?

Getting a bit OT here though. The thread starter asked about a tuner. I posted my recommendation.
I'm certain there are many people who have gotten their bikes tuned at Tejas and gotten a good job done. My intent was not to knock them nor to cause drama. Carry on.
