DYNO TUNE TEJAS MOTORSPORTS

Wanna get my bike dyno tuned this weekend.

Any recomendations for dyno tuning an R1 in Houston.

Tejas offer 3xruns before and 3xruns after for $225 dollars. Seemed like a good deal. Do they do ggod work?

I always use Tejas and Billy for my tunes. Make sure the air filter is clean, plugs are good, chain is lubed, and air pressure is good. 87 shows the most HP too

Contact Jason (Stoopidfast) at Secret Services, he does all of my tuning and have been blown away by his work. I have seen him do tunes on bikes, exotic cars, pretty much anything you can think of he has done it.... Most impressive I was around was the 1000+rwhp twin turbo viper he did. The man is the best at what he does in my opinion!

We recently built a ZX14 for the mile.
Having heard good things about a local tuner the customer brought the bike there to be tuned.

The tuner could only get 188 rwhp out of it and the guy tuning it said it would make more power with pump gas.
Keep in mind the bike has 13.5 to 1 compression.

The customer subsequently brought it to Johnny Cheese and he tuned it to make 202.9 rwhp / 123 rwtq on motor and 242.4 / 142.8 with NOS.

Johnny also said the map that the local tuner had in it was so lean that if the bike would have been run hard for an extended time it would have burned the valves.

This weekend Keith went 202.6 MPH at the mile on just the motor, making him the 6th fastest naturally aspirated bike in Texas.

Based on that I'd take my bike to Johnny.

I would say he is by far the best. He will run the out of a bike and get every possible hP out of one. I just wish he was closer. No doubt in , JC would be my tuner.

it man. To the OP I hear nothing of good things about Tejas, especially their tunes! I'll be taking mine there next month probably, just waiting to have some extra cash.

He's in Round Rock, no where near Dallas.

He's not expensive at all, don't know why you'd say to "bring an open check book"? Have you ever priced him?

j_e_hurst,
He charges $200.00-300.00 on average depending on how much time he spends on the bike. You get what you pay for.

Give him a call to check his schedule and pricing if you're interested:
