I love the CBR1000RR, all years except for the 04-05.

IMO you are best served by a bike you are comfortable riding. No point in trying to get used to it. You will never ride at your best if you are not comfortable on it

Bevo, those are great numbers and they look even better on paper, but who won last year's wsbk... Oh yeah, it was checa on a ducati, and it wasn't even a close championship. So, you got any other numbers you wanna post that don't mean . WINNING

Uh, let me know when you can get a WSBK out of the box at your local dealer

Those times are from "out of the box" bikes. I think the first one across the line is the winner

Rode a new 1000rr a few weeks ago and fell in love, it had a nice set of sticky ntecs on it so I was right at home, just taking it easy I was able to keep up with a fast rider that passed me on the 1 st lap , I followed him for 3 laps before the session was over and I couldnt believe I was able to stay with him 1 st time ever on the bike.

I want to step up to a 1 K and thats the bike I want.

+1. Ducati super bikes are not comfortable for street riding. My 1198S sucks on the local roads.

I rode my friends CBR600RR and that thing felt very comfortable on streets.

Switch. Be comfortable.

Why is this a question? It should be easy to decide on what you like vs. what your friends say is cool. Poser.

I've ridden both and they're both great bikes. If your not comfortable on the duc and have previously owned a cbr that you liked I say go back to one. Your the one who has to ride it.

I have a slightly biased opinion... but ive ridden the R1, 848, zx10r, and of course my RR. I love the torque, riding position, and confidence this bike gives in the corners. It always says give me more.. go faster... I bought the aftermarket seat from honda for it, and now i can kill a tank of gas without killing myself from the riding position...
