Your right, the GoPro really doesn't do the inclines justice as to how steep they were. Great video though! and it was a good day riding.

you get used to it. also make sure to set the sag right. if you aren't heavy enough for the rear spring, swap out the spring according to your weight. i'm sure you will be fine.

i just put my shaved seat on and that made me at least an inch taller. This is in combination with my 1" lowering link, softer springs, and forks slid up in the trees about 1/2".

my buddy and I are talking about going to Rio the Saturday before Easter.
