I would like to see a race at GSS and for it to be cheaper to race. I am trying to find the cash to pay for my license. Bigger grids would be better for viewing and attendance.

GSS and a couple rounds at MSRH would make a much better calendar ... also cheaper to race ... it seems like there are too many things to keep up with each year to keep your license valid ... should just get it for a one time fee and hold it for 2-3 years

I would love to see TMGP add a couple of events here... at GSS...
if you like the small bikes TMGP has 3 to 4 races a year in Katy.. so that could add to your spectator days...

The main reason I DON'T try racing is I'm not going to drive all over hells creation to do it. To do three races at local tracks is not worth what it costs to do it, to me. TD's spread me thin enough as it is. I don't want to think about expenses to OK and North East TX would cost all the time.

yep, I know... but another race or two in Houston would be good, even if it was TMGP at the katy track, but the fact is, for folks who want to watch more local racing... TMGP has several races a year here that i bet a lot of folks have never seen and would have a blast watching...

kinna why I havenít pursued cmra, I would love to but with everything else I got I canít justify the costs so I opted to do tmgp and I love it! Only traveling is when we go to denton and as far as costs I can spend about as much for the season what some people drop for one weekend doing cmra

donít get me wrong though, if I could I would without a doubt race cmra

GSS IMO, cannot support a cmra race weekend.

1. The track is too short/narrow for big bikes. Imagine having 50 guys out on the track RACING.

2. It currently has a small classroom and 2 port-o-cans. You need some REAL facilities to pull off a successful event like that...right? (I could be wrong)

You're absolutely right. GSS can barely handle a track day.

i know you're talking SS races, but if you get a dirtbike, there is a hare scramble/enduro race near 3 out of 4 weekends a month on average within 2-3 hours of Houston. Race fees vary from $35-$70 depending on membership fees.

Seems like you would get more head to head racing in MX. How is it doing hair scambles?
I dont get to see the vids you guys post.

I'd like something like TMGP but with classes for larger singles and incorporate MSRH and GSS. Also someone needs a real supermoto series

There are a load of part-time racers here in Houston that would come out for both MSRH and both TWS (Texas World Speedway) rounds. The last 2 events here were great. A 2nd round would work fine, IMO.

Don't drink the kool-aid around why we don't have a 2nd round here.

I thought it was due to the scheduling conflicts with the other track day organizations and those other entities who have booked "way way" in advance of the CMRA pre-season organization.

cmra is not comprised solely of houston racers, and msrh is a ton of money to rent, so it doesnt make sense for the club. the turn out was pretty low compared to TWS (Texas World Speedway), heck I can name at least 3 houston racers that didnt even show up to race msrh, so what makes the club think the okies or dallas or missouri, or arkansas people are gonig to show up later in the year when money gets tight?

you can argue we go to oklahoma twice a year, but i bet more of us go there than vice versa and it is cheaper to rent.

and most of the guys who race the series enjoy racing different tracks, i for one am not a fan of msrh so i wouldnt race there more than once
