More rounds of racing?

Is it me or does anyone else wish there were more "racing" though out the year.

One round of MSRH, and only two of TWS (Texas World Speedway). I know I'm biased based upon my home location. Do the RACERS prefer it this way? After all, more rounds equals more money to have to spend on gear, tires, parts and crashes.

Racers opinions?

I wish there was something a little more informal than the CMRA.

Dont "track days" fill that spot?

Otherwise wouldnt it be a waste of time and money?

Trackdays just aren't the same as racing. You're not supposed to run 100% at trackdays and they frown on stuffing people in turns. I'd guess I just wish there was another avenue to race locally to the CMRA since the CMRA and the National Guard fall on the same weekend 8 out of 10 races.

no. Not this racer. At least they brought Houston back for one round.

10 rounds is enough though... This year it's only nine. Blamed it on the economy. LOL

Can we (without out getting into politics) discuss why there is only one round at MSRH?

Is it light turnouts?

Being that TWS (Texas World Speedway) is kinda central, youd think there would be at least 2 more there? Or at least I wish there was.

Nothing wrong with that. It stands to reason that if the CMRA cant make money and stay on top of things there is less of a reason to go to places that wont make the money back. It does cost money to run things like this.

9 to 10 is a lot for anyone. Figure 1 race a month for 10 months, it puts a ding in many peoples buget and a drain on their time unless they're single without much outside commitments.
Also, TWS (Texas World Speedway) isn't "central", Cresson is.

Discussion cannot happen without getting into politics IMO.

I believe you have to go back to 2004 to find an opening round bigger than MSRH this year and that was by two grid spots.

I read on the forum that MSRH is the most expensive track to rent and given that the biggest turnout is usually the first event, make it that one.

Economy being what it is.. makes sense.

Something like that. I'm kinda looking forward to Hallet.. Never been there.

A 2nd MSRH would be AWESOME! Then again, 10 rounds is enough.
