interesting you mentioned that. i do see that.. but i also see the car starting to merge at the 1 second mark... before the bike decides to wedge itself in the middle. looks possibly like a last minute error on the bike -- being too close and not expecting traffic to do that.

what is it in texas. travel a few seconds after another car and also give room to adjacent lanes. ive had to watch that DPS video too many times over the years.

i didn't pick up this texas rule until lately. if you are in the left hand lane... no one is in the middle, and someone is in the right lane... if both merge at the same time... the right hand is in the right of way and the left hand must yield.

ps - as for the video above 2 posts. you should be able to stop quickly if you are going the speed limit. there is quite a bit of R&D that goes into creating the speed limits for roads such as this.

Yeah its speculation....we really need more of the previous seconds. But my logic is thinking that biker is only doing that because the cager did something very bad.

yo

Lane splitting is legal in Brazil. Worse case scenario he didnt do anything to warrant assault with a vehicle.

this all is kinda amusing because I do not own a bike...

but... i own a sports car and will tell each of you...

if a large truck or 18-wheeler cuts me off, i'm going to let him. I don't want to do anything that warrants me looking like a pancake. I have fun enough driving the car, I don't need to make it a game against other motorists.

I can see where your coming from, and it's definitely not worth the risk of your life.

The lady should be charged for what she did, no doubt about it. BUT, can she fight it off as self defense??

She couldn't if it happened in this country. He was damaging her property no doubt, but he was no threat to her body while he was still sitting on his bike.
