i can not stop his behavior, but i can call it as it is... stupid, and i do not ride with stupid people.. i don't want them to get me hurt, or harrassed by leo, and i do not want to have to help pick up pieces of them... i have already put enough people in body bags during my life time....if you ride with them, if you fail to say how stupid it is, then your are helping the problem to continue

Whether they teach it or not in CA I'm sure cagers are used to it there. I'd be shocked if more than 10% of the drivers on 610 are from CA

Yea, I meant the cagers are used to bikes splitting lanes in CA so they're aware of it and expect it. In Texas cagers don't even see bikes

I've driven in CA and had bikes share my lane but have never ridden there

if they ride like that in texas, sooner or later, it is going to go bad..i have had enough of that kind of loss in my life

some of you may think that on this issue i am too big of a ...
but the truth is i have been to too many funerals that should not have been...deaths that were needless, direct results of the riders stupidity...wives and children left with out their husband and father, because of stupid riding...
sure i have lost folks from accidents that were not their fault... my cousin and his wife were both killed when a suburban ran a redlight doing what the cops said was about 65 mph and tboned them...those things happen, nothing you can do about them they are not the riders fault... last year i lost two employee/friends from their being stupid on their bikes, they did not need to die...so when i am about this, it is more than i just don't like it... i know where it ends

i'm glad the police don't watch moto houston or you might receive a citation in the mail. oh wait, they do.

good luck on that. just hope they don't revoke your license for dangerous driving, then boasting about it. definitely shows no remorse for a jury.

Oh, come on.

Dangerous?

This is a common practice ALL over the world and is a technique endorsed by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Statistics show that motorcycle rear end collisions are much lower when a rider is splitting lanes through heavy traffic rather than moving in it.
Also, I would rather spend 6 minutes in heavy traffic than 20-25 minutes in heavy traffic. The time span for something to go wrong shrinks significantly.

I quoted what I said... not sure how calling someone passionate is considered a slam...but so be it, it is what it is. I do not mind being called out for what I have actually said or done, i just do not apprciate it much when i did not do or say anything. I think some folks should maybe use the ignore button...if i actually get to you, then just turn me off...

oh, and Kib... thanks a lot for getting the quote thing going

if it was me, i would probably run you off the road. i do not condone lane splitting unless you really have good reason to.

it is dangerous, for you, also the cager that potentially can't see you, and the people that are on the road at the time. people step on their brakes when accidents happen. usually causes a chain reaction of event, which usually leads to more traffic.

doesn't make sense. why not be patient and wait your turn like everybody else?

Yes it is Dangerous, especially to other drivers -- all that matters in my book.

and I am glad you brought up "all over the world". I guess you feel prostitution and cannabis is legal too. Maybe selling organs and with farm animals. Whatever you like to do... go for it man.

I guess you haven't been to California then. When lane splitting, crashes don't happen at the rear, it normally involves on the side. Obviously you're not going to have a rear end collision, the only danger is when a driver decides to swerve to the "faster" lane and that's when you collide with him.

Great job at lane splitting, just don't go out of hand. Keep your ego down
