You might be missing the point depending on the kind of bike you ride...

Come out to a meet and talk to people,or out on a noob ride(im a assuming you're a noob) you might see some value on it then...

Wait, have you ever taken your bike on any turn lower than 50mph?

Well, regardless of whether the OP is trolling or not, I know that I've learned more in my first TD last Sat., than my many yrs of street riding.

Middle of first session after lunch, I went into the last corner before the front straight a little hotter than I felt comfortable. I instinctively pulled the classic mistake of standing the bike up right and braked. I managed to scrubbed off most of my speed before lowsiding into the grass. Bike was fine, minus a bent frame slider. One instructor stopped and waved the group by before letting me safely pick my bike up and restart. Techs checked me the the bike over and okayed me to continue the next session.

When I resumed, I was still very weary of that corner and approached it wayyy slow. Then each go around I convinced myself a little more to trust the bike can go far faster than I can. By the end of the afternoon, I had regained my confidence and carved that corner faster and stuck to the line cleaner than I ever thought I could.

That I could never have duplicated on the street with 9 lives in a 100 years.

I never had any doubt TrackDays are worth every penny of any school's asking price. After Sat., I just kick myself for not getting started sooner.

1st of all... Fk you for having my name!

Second.. you are looking at this the wrong way!
You learn what your bike can do at a track day.. your skills and most of all having fun with your close friends all day!! Did I said all day??? YES!! All day!!!!!!!!!

A track day is not a race school.. or a race day, its a track day to lear new skills and learn your bike..

once you learn how to control your bike then you'll be a better street rider.. telling from a guy that used to ride back roads like if I was going to win something.

Love it every minute!!

I have no desire to do over 65, and I never wear gear except for a helmet, I really don't see how ANY skills learned or whatever is greater than the risk of failure and wrecking. If your over 25 u don't heal quick and how u gonna pay the bills while ur unable to work...

This risk of failure or wrecking is somehow not present on the street? You don't HAVE to go fast on a trackday. You could theoretically go around at your 65mph all day long and be totally fine thusly equilizing your "risk of failure and wrecking" between street and track. However, you'd STILL have less risk at a track because there's no oncoming traffic, potholes, or blind turns.

OK, it's all clear now.

I believe you may possibly be mentally challenged.

Please go back to my post about requirements for teaching the third grade.

Good luck to you in your motorcycling future. Hope it is long and uneventful.

So come to the track, sign up for level 1, and don't go over 65. I promise you that no ones going to force you or ask you to. And the risk will be no greater, I would say way less than the street just you will be wearing extra gear. It's win, win. But if you have made me up your mind before coming into this then you are just trolling, which I guess is cool too it passes the day

Edit - popo beat me to it
