yes, prayers for the family, for peace and strength.. they will need it...
when my older son went down, not as serious as this sounds, but he spent 28 days in the hospital in traction and then another 6 weeks in a body cast and it was stressful for us all...and yes my son was properly geared up at the time

Don't let this be you. I've already lost three friends on bikes. This young guy is 23. He's not dead, but probably will die. From what I was told, your brain normally has between 5 - 10 lbs pressure. His brain started swelling until it reached 30 lbs. The Dr's couldn't even wait for permission from Ron and they went ahead and induced a coma and proceeded to cut a hole in his skull the size of your hand. Yesterday the pressure had dropped to 15, but last night it started rizing again. Last
I heard it was back up to 30.

Last night his mom completely fell apart. He has a little bro in middle school. Right now is a good time to think of the ones you love. Next time thry see you do you want it to be during visiting hours? Do you want to stand bythem and cheer for your team or do you want THEM to stand vigil by your bed, tearing instead of cheering?

I'm venting, but I'm getting tired of this latest rash of rider down and RIP threads.
Damnit Guys- believe it or not, this IS something we can control.

You know what I want to tell everyone so I don't even need to say it.

Prayers for the rider and family! No matter the reasonings or carelessness or not STILL he is someones child, sibling, family member and friend and in this case SOOOO YOUNG and deserves to live and learn from his mistakes! Im praying for a miracle and that he does pull through. Ive heard and seen worse so there is always a chance. People in the best situations don't always make it so either way he deserves to live. PRAYING!

Healing prayers...gear up, focus, pay attention and be sharp out there!
Watch especially all the slick debris falling from oak trees in suburban neighborhoods. Ths is treacherous and can be very hard to see.

A little bit of an update again. I talked with Ron this morning. Good news - The pressure in his son's brain has started to drop a little. More Good news -Also, his metabolosm seems to have increased because his body is responding to meds higher than expected. He is still in a coma, but the way things look he may pop out of it soon. Even MORE Good news -The indications are that he may actually start responding to touch and light.

Unfortunately - he now has pneumonia. Looks like he got it from the friggin breathing machine. I don't know how that happens, but that's was I was told.

The lucky bastage just may make it. I hope so.

When I told Ron that so many of you had sent prayers and best wishes he got a shocked look on his face, a look of amazment. You guys really impressed him and he's very Thankful !!!!

I appreciate the support and PMs from you guys too.

I did ask Ron why he doesn't mention his son's name, but he just wants to keep that to himself. I have no idea why, but stess makes Dads do goofy things when their kids a laying in a hospital all mashed to . I've been there so I know how he feels.

Thanks again guys - I just want you all to know that all those little one liners "Prayers sent", etc etc, hey, that carries a lot of healing power to someone that needs it. Never neglect that human obligation. Someone needs it.
