Caffeine Racer.
If I was up for this, that's exactly what I'd post.

Good luck to you brother!

My second pick would be .
Good guy, really good rider.
I think he'd get a lot of benefit getting his skills of the street and on the track.

CaffeineRacer.

I vote for him because his reasons for getting on the track are for personal development and not "to feel the rush, no cops, ect". He knows what he wants to learn. I read some others and they just put "to learn proper techniques" you don't got to a job interview and when they ask you why do you want to work here you don't say "to get paid".

I voted for CaffeinRacer because reading what he posted reminded me a lot of how I felt when I decided to go track riding. I donated so id like my contribution to go to him.

It was a close decision for me; I was torn between CaffeineRacer and Dweebster.

I absolutely sympathize with Dweebster's desire to gain the upper hand with braking. His use of the word "fear" is a concern. Perhaps some of our mentors can encourage him to replace fear with understanding? I'd encourage him to re-enter the selection process again.

CaffeineRacer is also at that one year mark, but I'm inclined to vote for him for several reasons:
1. It's encouraging to see him articulate so many specific expectations.
2. Based on his response, it seems he's been actively working to proportionately build his skill. I may be reading between the lines too much, but he appears closer to that ceiling where expert intervention will have significant impact.
3. He's clearly aware of the presence of bad habits and is ready to receive instruction and work to replace them.

So, I vote CaffeineRacer. . .unless he's a trust fund baby or something.

Yeah but I don't get that money until I'm 25!

Anyway I'd like to weigh in on things and give my vote.

I too found this to be a difficult decision, although between jimrad and dweebster.

I know Jimrad has led rides before and makes a nice contribution to the MH community and makes funny whack off jokes, which definitely counts for a lot. On the other hand though the spirit of this cause is to get a noob out on the track to make him/her a safer rider on the street by getting to know their bike better. With that in mind I think that Dweebster fits the bill. If I'm remembering too I think I met Dweebster at that track day info meet up at Star Pizza the other week too so to me that means he is serious about trying to get the the track. Therefore my vote has to go for dweebster.

(BTW I don't believe in voting for myself, but thank you everyone else who has! )
