No insurance - guaranteed - and she's probably not the registered owner of the vehicle, so....

Sadly man - i just hope your insurance covers you.

I can virtually guarantee the that ran does not have insurance and is probably not even the registered owner of the vehicle, so you're going to be left holding the bag.

Sucks, but that's how it is in Houston, and the losers that don't carry insurance know the rules inside and out - and they know the worst that can happen for a non-injury accident is a ticket - which they won't pay either.

Guess I got lucky with my lady having insurance and successfully filing a claim against it. If she doesn't have it, press charges and take her to court. You'll need to weigh factors with a lawyer I would think...fees vs worst case restitution etc. I don't know very much about that stuff but it seems like you'd have a case.

Fortunantly there were 3 other people there who can ID her too. I have uninsured motorists insurance too, so I think my car is taken care of. It'll just take forever to get my car fixed.

Good lesson though. From now on I'm keeping a camera in my car. The first thing I'll do in an accident take pictures of cars and people.

I don't get it, you filed her plate number with the police, why do you need anyone here to run it for you? Don't be stupid and track her down yourself, you've got the upper hand right now.

Because white, middle class suburban moms never rear end anybody.

Thus, they never run.

Well, this is still a potential civil court case so I don't want to say too much. It was a late model Expedition with rims that cost more than the KBB value of my car.

I REALLY doubt that she was late for a Yoga class or needed to scurry off for tee time. My pure guess is - no insurance or warrants.

Leo - yeah she hit the Escort. Like I said before, nobody has love for the Escort!!!!
