Bingo. Make sure that carb is clean first before parts look to be replaced. I should have started off with that. I suppose i had assumed it was already clean.

If your gonna clean the carb good, you'll probably want to take the carb off. Every MX bike owner needs to learn to do that at some point in time

don't take the carb out completely if you don't have to.

you might be able to loosen the clamps and rotate the carb to access the bottom of the carb.

You can also try some of the "no work" remedies. i'm also a big believer of the seafoam stuff. i haven't tried to unstick a float with it, but I've heard people have drained the bowl, poured it into the fuel line, soak, repeat with great success. i run it and stabil in all of my gas.

Will the steps be:
shut off fuel valve
take off fuel line off fuel valve
pour seafoam into line that goes into carb
let it sit for a few mins
loosen the screw from bottom of carb to extract seafoam
repeat

i guess to prevent any mess I would go:

shut off fuel valve

1. loosen the screw from bottom of carb (PINK ARROW)
2. take off fuel line off fuel valve
3. tighten the screw from bottom of carb
4. pour seafoam into line that goes into carb
5. let it sit for a few mins
6. loosen the screw from bottom of carb to extract seafoam
repeat steps 3-6

I can't promise it will fix it, but it may. I will try to find a link to the source of my info.

EDIT: between 4 and 6 I would probably also do a few light taps with a wrench on the carb.

I sent you a PM the other day. You have my number. Give me a call and I can fix, clean the carb for you. I had this same bike. I still have parts for this same bike.
It is easy and i can show you how to do this with the carb still in the bike.

The seafoam worked. I put it in the carb and let it sit for a few mins. Drained then repeat. It wasn't leaking with the seafoam so i drained that and hooked everything back up and no leak. U guys rock with this job. I can't wait to extract more information from everyone.

I only took it around my hood on Sunday and it did fine. It might be a weekend or two before I can go to Ultimate because I don't have a way to take it to the track.

While you wait to take it to the track pour a little seafoam in the tank and crank it up and let it run for 15/20 minutes every couple of days....till you get to run it on the track. other wise it will stick again....

If it was a Honda, you wouldn't have to do that.....

For sure, I need someone to pull my head out of the sand when I crash. Just make sure don't pull to hard on my boots when getting me out. I don't want the boots to come off since my feet tend to smell

If it was a Honda you'd have to adjust the valves everytime you ride it.

Can we walk you through anything on you POS? Lol.

I hated my kx250f for a long time until I worked the bugs out and replaced the Ti valves with SS. Now I mostly love it.
