Correct. 4 people on their own. Could be same class or could be different.

You guys that haven't done an enduro will love it IMO. It's like several short harescrambles with sections in between where you get to re-group with your buddies and tell stories and lies in between the tests.

The start will be uneventful cause the first section will be a transfer section. The starter will tell your row (4 in this case) to go and you'll trailride (at whatever pace you want) to the first test section. You will then be re-started with your row to so the test section (as fast as you can). When it's over, you transfer to the next next. Sometimes the transfer sections can be mere yards away or a transfer section can be several miles. You never know. And since there is no pre-running of the course, no one knows. Part of the fun!

This enduro is a shorter one (35 miles) so most can make it on one tank. At the longer enduros (like TSCEC enduros) there are fuel stop(s).

The guys on your row can be any class. It's actually helpful if you know your row mates cause you can let the fastest guy go first and so on. That way you get as much rider-free interference as possible to get you the best time possible.

More than likely, even with the 1 minute intervals, you will get caught by a fast rider who started row(s) behind you. It is common practice in enduros for the guy to just yell or rev his motor and you let him by and carry on. If a guy from a row or rows behind you catches you, he's obviously much faster, so there's no sense in blocking him.

IMO, enduros are much more fun than harescrambles. You get to ride more and you get to hang out with your riding buddies all day while you're doing it.

You will need a camelback for this. The transfers/breaks between tests are typically away from camp, so the only water you can have is what you ride with. I've been to some enduros where they have bottled water between tests, but it's a luxury and you can't count on it.

good info, thanks for the insight. I'm looking forward to it. so, as I see it...since I'm not a TRH member the only fee for this course is $35 and no equipment needed(other than the normal safety equipment).

Yup. And for enduros your number (only on the front plate) will be your row # plus A, B C, or D. (the 4 people on your row). So if 4 of you are on row 20, your numbers will be 20A, 20B, 20C, and 20D. You'll find out your row at registration.

I read on TON that TRH will be giving us numbers for your bike, but it's always a good idea to have a backup plan like tape background and electrical tape to make numbers.

Most orgs resverve rows 20-30 for the really fast guys, but since this is a family enduro, I'm not sure how much that will hold true.

I'm with you Cliff. I don't know how I will make it through the next couple days now that my bike is ready to go and I don't have any other work to do on it.

I can't give info on this race specifically, but at the other enduro I did they had a trailer that everybody put their gas can on and they transported them to the gas stop. Really easy and well organized.
