well i went by the location and as you stated no skid marks either by a motorcycle or car.. the only thing i saw was the yield sign bent the up.. My guess is he came around and took it wide, over corrected which pushed him back to the rightside of the lane and into the sign. I didnt even see any plastic on the ground so i assume the contact with the yield sign was what took him down. Be careful out there!

Wow I go through that intersection daily. People didn't stop b/c they didn't see him or they just didn't stop? 60mph doesn't sound too fast for that turn, I wonder if the bump near the beginning of the turn caught him off guard and caused him to take a screwball line. Hope he has a full and speedy recovery.

I wish him the best of luck! Be careful out there people! His incident sounds alot like what happened to me right after I started riding. I was out by myself and was kinda goofin off. Going over the speed limit and then tried to take a right hand turn. I noticed I was coming up towards the turn wayyyy too fast tried to slow the thing down applied too much rear brakes and started sliding the bike thru the turn. I would have made it thru the turn but on the outside there was a curb both tires slid into it causing the bike to throw me off the other direction (highside) into the median the bike crushed my foot between the stator cover and the curb. It was a hard crash and I am lucky for the grass in the median. Had I been throw off alittle harder i would have hit a street sign in the median. All I can say is watch your speed and learn your bike and what you can comfortably control it at! Take care and Bless him !
