IMO, for your very first TD, I'd take the bike you are most comfortable on. You will have many things you are trying to absorb, and worrying about your bike or learning it's intricacies, shouldn't be part of them. TWS (Texas World Speedway) is a perfect track for the 1K, so no worries in that regard. I say take the 1K. Being that it's your first TD, you won't be going crazy, no matter WHICH bike you choose, but I'd go with the one you know, without a doubt.

exactly how i was thinking...i don't want to learn a new bike AND the track all at once...

i didn't even consider taking both...is there an extra fee or penalty for taking 2 bikes?

Whenever I buy a new bike, the track is the first place I take it. I'd much rather get comfortable on a new bike in a controlled environment than on the street.

But considering it is your very first track day ever... my vote goes to the one youre most comfortable on.

But teh next day should be on the one you're least comfortable on.
