??? For the Ladies

My GF is currently taking the MSF course. Her hair is very thick and very long.

What do you all do to keep your hair from getting too tangled and such when wearing a helmet?

She will greatly appreciate your asistance. I keep offering to give her a haircut like mine, shaved, but I think she wants a different solution.

TIA
Mike

I chopped all my hair off! I do have to shove the little tickly hairs on my forehead onto my helmet.

The biker chicks wear a leather sheath. It wraps around a pony tail and snaps into place. Most Harley shops have them for under $20.
They work well, my wife wore them back in our Harley days.
Another easy solution is using multiple elastic hair ties. Thats what I did in our Harley days. lol
Back when I had hair!

+1 on the braid. I usually tuck it under my backpack or let it flop on short trips. It creates a delightful wave at the end of the day.

Braid. Add a bandana over it if she wants to keep the helmet "fresh". Personally I hang mine outside my jacket (it used to be longer, now it's kinda stubby). Long hair will quickly become so tangled and knotted in the wind that you almost need to cut your hair off to fix it.

This can be for when you don't have time to do anything with the hair. Braids are nice, but not always the solution.

My hair is too long to leave lose at all. I cannot even have an open ponytail tied in the neck, it will still get tangled up way too much. So, either a high pony tail where only some hair sticks out (which may be a problem if her hair is really thick), or braid it. If it is a short trip, I just roll it up in the neck and stick it into the back of my jacket.
