I'm waiting for this one to hit the market. As long as it doesn't cost more than one arm and leg. I'll be seriously considering it.

I asked for is what Racer X thinks of it and I don't get a reply other than "it's old news"

With all his experience, and vast knowledge I would think he has an opinion on the use of such a device.

How anti-dramatic it was... was itself very dramatic.

So if you got something like this would you have to buy a whole new suit if it was used?

From the link......

Once deflation commences, the airbags fully discharge within 2-25 seconds, allowing the leather suit to return to its normal fit and feel.

If, having crashed on track, the rider is able to recover their bike and carry on riding; the Alpinestars Tech Air system resets itself within 60 seconds of the first crash and through itís patented dual charge capability, offers the rider a second airbag inflation if required. This allows the rider to continue riding in complete confidence knowing they are fully protected.

Sounds like you will just have to recharge/replace the gas cylinders unless you trash the suit.

You volunteering to buy one, and bounce off a car to test it? :-)

only if the bladders were punctured or worn down from sliding across the ground. Typical airbag jackets are inflated with c02 cartridge's. Just unplug the cartridge force air out, reset the pull string and, plug in new cartridge a viola!
