I'd take a drill to the side of the nut at an angle. Drill in just enough to get the tip of a punch in and start tapping with a hammer.

how much space do you have around the nut?

i have this tool:
351693?pd400

and it has been amazing on stripped and rounded off nuts and bolts, as long as it can get around it.

Drill a 1/4 inch hole straight in the side of that !! Stick a phillips head screw driver in the hole and bust that hoe loose. After a quarter turn drill another hole perpendicular to the first hole if its not loose enough for you. Done.

You are more than welcomed to borrow my dremel. You'll need to pick up some cutting blades so you can split the nut and unscrew it if all else fails. 361-649-8733 (i'm close to westheimer and beltway).

I was going to tell you to get a closed end wrench, throw on some tack welds from nut to wrench, and then hammer the wrench to loosen the nut. I don't have my ready welder, though.

He doesnt have a welder.

However, 2 or 3 relatively high amp car batteries wired in series, a set of jumper cables, and a couple 7018 rods and you can lay a weld you wouldnt believe. Run it in reverse polarity.

Tested that and works too. 2 batteries is enough. I Just like my Ready Welder with the spool gun. So much easier to work with.

Any welder is def better that batteries. Welding with them can easily cause damage but its more or less an in-a-pinch deal. I have a deuce and a half with a 24v system. Just hook up leads and Im ready for the pipeline.

The ready welder works off of batteries. I bought it for trail repairs and minor repair and fab at home.

Nah, car batteries.
There are large lipo batteries as well.

Such as the ones we used to make this H1 Hummer produce 1000hp.

If you torch it and chisel it to loosen you may as well get an air hammer with a chisel bit and just knock it off and put a new cylinder stud in.

sick setup. The "car" batteries I have are Mil-Spec Hawker batteries. I sold 2 and now I'm down to one. I love these batteries but , they are heavy.
