Gas Mileage

Yeah, that thread got heated quick ! I'm not a bad driver, honestly. I just popped off in the wrong way. I haven't even come close to laying a bike over, nor have I been pulled over, EVER... That's why I got upset ! Wrecking, isn't something I think of, as accidentally happened. Riding is 90% mental, I keep a good, clear head, when I'm riding. I've taking the Motorcycle Safety Course. I feel safer than ever ! I put over 300 miles on my bike, yesterday evening, thru this evening. I got a little over 40 mpg, KEEPING IT UNDER 70 MPH, with all the beautiful weather we had (raining) !!! Filled up twice !

Don't take it the wrong way but you just blew up at the wrong people and things got heated quick. Most guys on here have a lot of experience under their belt so listen to them. Most guys here could care less for young kids who haul through traffic and down freeways. Don't get me wrong, we all go fast from time to time but the freeways are not the place. No one likes reading RIP threads, but lots of guys who think they know what they're doing end up in them. And it's not always the riders fault as much as the other people out there. If you want to go fast, be safe and do track days or go on group rides. Just leave your attitude at home. These guys can teach you a lot if you just listen to them.

Dude, I'M new too to MH, and I'm suggesting give it up. Stop trying to recover this. It's just another thread, and most don't actually actually care. But, apology accepted.

Glad you like your bike. Sounds nice. There are plenty of other MPG threads on here, and I've browsed through some. I recently averaged 67.2 MPG on my 500...easy on the throttle and staying near the posted speed limit will obviously yield the best results.
