That'd be dead center of the front... no like bevo point out, it'd be the c-pillar/door area. Trying to guesstimate if it might have been able to, and to what degree , if might have penetrated the cabin.

naw, it was a "glancing" blow, when i saw the first pic, i didn't think it was a head on at 100, there would be no bike left at 100 and directly head on

where's LCF our resident accident investigator.

Right, he didn't hit the front wheel at a 90 degree angle to the car, but it looks like the impact was on that wheel.

Looks like a tad of an angle, like inital impact was between bumper/wheel (front of left panel?) I'm thinking any impact near the door would have been slowed/deflect by the pillars, preventing penetration.

Ever tried to steer a car that's missing a wheel and had severe damage? IF you look at the pic's closely, you'll see a white line that goes along the other lane then jogs over onto 'his' side.
Pretty sure that's where her car gouged the road...

Obviously the car didn't instantly stop on impact. Since the left front wheel was completely broken off the car slid to the left across the center line.

If you look at the video in the story I linked, the car's wheel was bent halfway to its center

I don't think it was raining in the area when this happened. It wasn't when I had to detour around the scene. I'm not even sure the streets were wet.
