Dan Martin at Scorpion Studios Tattoo (he's the owner)

he does AMAZING work but is booked up with appointments MONTHS in advance. So don't be in a hurry.........but then again, patience is a virtue and if its going to be on your body FORVER wouldn't you want the best possible artist you can get?

<------------ this is some of his work
(still has a couple of hours work left to be complete)

hahahah.. nevermind.. i know what you did.. you just did a search on google or something to just help out... it's appreciated....but with something like this... know what you are talking about... i have many tattoos... and i mean many many many.. i'm finishing my full sleeve next week......and tattoos are permant... so i wouldnt recommend something that is just hear say... i am familiar with those places and seen work.....
i'm not trying to be rude and sorry if it came off that way... but i have come across some pretty shittty tats.....i have already PMed him and gonna hook him up...
Are you serious?

I stated I listed 3 based on which area of town he was in and yes I have tats by 2 of them and the 3rd is a friend I grew up with who has done tats on several people on this forum.

but, My favorite is James Jorgenson. He did my first tat over 10 years ago and I am still happy I chose him for my first one and for my third one and will be letting him finish the work he started for a sleeve and sock on my right side,. After which I will allow him to start a sock on my left side and left sleeve.

But, for all you tattoo geniuses on here... we never got into the details on who does what better. Well, James does amazing BioMech and Organic work and seems to have an amazingly light hand. Corey is amazing at traditional with his own flare but with a heavey hand from what I have heard from several people (I will let you know first hand soon enough when Swift and I go down to visit him.) and I chose Tiger John for my ribs because it required custom needles to be made for the detailing. I don't know everything about the business or I would probably work in it but, I have shared what knowledge I have now and there are plenty of others who can chime in on here for the people I have listed. Good luck with your next tat and take the time to choose a good artist!

If you're really into tattoos and getting them done...why on earth would you stick to one artist? Every artist has their own flavor. Put 5 of the best artist to do the same tattoo and each one will be different.

There's nothing wrong with going to different artists to get work done. I really don't know where you're trying to go with your little rant dotcom.

P.S. If anyone knows someone that does good polynesian/samoan work..please tell me. I don't feel like spending 1800 to get my next tat done.

+1..............I think I have about 20 tats, almost all done by different artists from different parts of the country.
I still have a few more to go..........probably all done by somebody new.
