Bike stolen at gunpoint

http://www.click2houston.com/news/10546476/detail.html

who wants to bet these are the same from ASI?

or maybe its just hot to jack bikes at gunpoint nowadays.

****in' sad.

SUGAR LAND, Texas -- A motorcycle was stolen from a man at gunpoint, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said the robbery happened in the 10400 block of Towne Oak Lane at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Detectives said the man, 30, pulled into his driveway and a gray Buick parked in front of the driveway.

Two armed men got out of the car and demanded the man's motorcycle, investigators said. The men threatened to kill the man if he did not comply, officials said.

The man gave the men the motorcycle and his helmet, detectives said.

Deputies said the men left the home with the motorcycle and their original vehicle.

The man told deputies that the men were black and were wearing all-black clothing with black clothes covering their heads.

The men's vehicle was described as a gray 2000 Buick with tinted windows and 20-inch chrome wheels.

The victim's motorcycle is a yellow 2003 Honda with paper tags.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.

i dont blame you wanting to conceal carry in houston. its not a bad idea, if everyone did it. these wouldnt be so quick to jack people if they thought that every person they where about to victimize was packin heat.

edit***

Boy thas some bOOlshyt :BangHead: , how you gon steal the guy's bike and he more than likely...just got it (i.e. paper tags)? People work too hard for some f**ker to go and steal their bike. I wish he had the rigged to explode...there's gotta be a way...

I've been having an idea about deterring theft of bikes. But I'm not sure about the legality and whether or not I'd actually be able to hand the f**ker over to the COPS but setting a up and whoopin' his afteran attempt on a dummy bike doesn't sound like that bad an idea.

This is why its best to ride in a group. When I ride alone late at night, I make sure I dont get stuck in a red light alone or I'll just take the light.

Is it just me or does someone else suspect the shop that sold the dude the bike?

think about it - they said it was an 03 Honda with "Paper Tags".

If it has Paper Tags, it just makes it that much easier to steal - its even easier when the shop keeper tells his buddies where the bike is located at and the where abouts of the biker (all of which he has as memo info notes while selling a bike).

If i were a cop investigator - i would start with the interrogation of the shop..

seems like a case of, robbery @ gun point on the way back from the bank

i would install a simple kill switch thats kinda of hidden but you can still get to it while you are sitting on the bike. hit the hidden kill switch. hand them the key and run away. son of is gonna have to work for it.

on the way back from the bank at 11:30pm? i dont think so, though that would be ****in heinous if a bike shop was setting people up.. tbh i think that anyone selling motorcycles has to much invested in thier business to screw it up with some crazy scheme like that~

Shop Owners and Shop Employees (like a normal parts guy) have different ambitions and ways of making money you know

It doesn't have to be the bike owner / workers themselves.
If they happen to buy a bike from someone at a DROP DEAD cost and sell the parts for a small margin then I could certanly see this being the case
