BT003 Ride Smart or Pro?
Are you still going to ride street with the tire?
Do you have warmers?

Racing or track days?
If track days then the Ride Smart. It will last longer and be less expensive while offering good grip short of a race pace.

I had the 003 on the back and loved it...at least on the street. Bike really wanted to turn with minimal input on the bars.

I was running sub 2:00 at MSRH on the 003RS with no issues . They last long and will be better for your wallet.

Never ran the R10 or 003pro but they are probably more grip than you will ever need...I went to the Dunlop Ntecs and dropped some serious time a MSRH...

I have 003r's on my SV. I do run warmers.

In my opinion, it is all the tyre needed for a trackday ON AN SV. I run consistent 55's and managed to drop into the 53's a few laps at MSRH and felt rock steady.

At GSS, I did have a bit of trouble with it spinning up on the long right hand sweeper.

I'm no fast guy, but I can tell you that I don't need too much more tyre ON MY SV.

Perhaps the lads on I4's can give you more valuable feedback.

5 days and the tyres still have meat on them

If you are not riding street anymore, get the R10s. That tire is way better than the 003 Pro.

If you are still riding street, get the 003RS

BT003RS for track days.

Very good tire, of course I ain't one of the fast guys either.

I have since started running Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsas on my "Ninja 250" and like them very much.

But since you are asking about BT003RS, yes I have run them on a lot of bikes and highly recommend them.

patrick offers sound advice, but if money is not an issue go with the race tire for peace of mind

I know you said don't comment if it isn't about those 2 tires... but I won't be told what to do.

Dude... why bridgestone? I mean, John at SCRC is a top notch dude but the 003 pro has got to be the shittiest DOT race tire. I mean, I have never tried a continental but between Pirelli, Michelin and Dunlop the 003 pro is the bottom feeder. Unless you just enjoy saving the front from tucking 3 or 4 times a day. If you're wanting to deal with John then for cryin' out loud get the Pirelli. Even if you have to get that track day slick they make. It's not too expensive.

For $339, you can get the 2011 AMA spec Dunlop tire. Frankly, IMO, it aint great either but it sure beats anything else at that price point.

Of course, like Byrdman said... if you want the king daddy, then drop 5 hundy on a set of NTECs. Or, spend a bit less and get a very capable American Slick from Dunlop.

Boom. Truth.

I suggested the 003rs for now at his pace and I stand behind it. I've seen Zo take a stock Gsxr with 16's on it and run mid 40's. (I'm pretty sure that was the set up)

I myself have run 1:50's with 002's and 003r's.

I've also run ntecs, gps's and currently super corsas... Haven't lost the front or slid the rear on any of them(except for the ntecs when they were WAY past done being used up.

Honestly most people at his pace won't out ride most any tire. I know I never did and I've had the opportunity to try them all.
