I'd BB it rather than starting over.
Patricks 450 DRZ was pretty much neck and neck with my 450x(stock) on a straight at a 30-100mph roll.
Try to take any extra weight off the bike also.
Every pound will help with accelleration, braking, & handling.
That extended range gas tank has to weight a ton when loaded up with fuel.
Other than that, keep riding / learning.
If you're running up on them in the corners and then being pulled on exit, maybe you should try adjusting your entry speed so that you can get on the gas earlier. Slow in Fast out.

Bore it and still be able to ride track and the street reliably. The turbo kit is ACTUALLY an option, there is a company that makes a kit for the 400sm just to lazy to find the thread.

Go for the RRK, its a quick swap and your bike will be instantly faster...

RRK = Rider Replacement Kit

Lets swap bikes for a few laps next time and you can see what a YZ feels like

does that include having to kick start the yz repeatedly?

just wondering, because you and george seem to both do that a lot...

I'm talking carb, motor, all lines (brake, oil, etc.), suspension, brakes (front and rear). I had Magura front MC and a braketech front 320 rotor. My stock ktm brake system is better.

My stock suspension is LOADS better.

My motor has more power.

Ride over and check it out... I'm in tomball. I decided this way:

I bought the drz for $3200 used (stock). Dumped $1k in it to get it sorted. It still was lacking. So either I dumped another $1200 into it for carb/cams/BB, then another $1300 for suspension, or I buy a better bike. A drz ain't worth having $6700-$7k in it. So I sold it for $4200, and bought a 50hp ktm for $300 extra. Everything is already done/sorted from the factory minus a few personal preferences.

To me the choice was easy. Good luck homie!

No, no, no. I said they were extremely tiny you said you wanted to hold them in your hands and mouth because you thought they were leathery and could use some lotion to get them velvety like you were used to when you two were "closer".
