While it sucks that this happened what really gets me is the "I would have shot them mentality" displayed in this thread and many others. There are a bunch of total dumb here that need to read the laws before they end up in jail. As as far as the ball bearing go, it will be he said she said in front of the cops. The only proof will be broken glass. That isnt gonna do you any good in front of a cop. The cop will ask "so you carry ball bearings in your pocket?" You will say "Yes, I am looking for someone to mess with me". Learn how to avoid these accidents and blow the BS off. You will be better served by avoidance then aggression towards a dumb in a 4000# car or truck.

What if the guy was some meth head. Thats been up for 7 days and is hallucinating, and you apear as the great beast satan. He believes you are there trying to steal his soul. To take back to the underworld for the other soulless heathans to feed upon. Knowing this about you he holds nothing back and will do anything in his power to keep and protect his soul. He will use his vehicle as a batting ram against your satan carrying device of a motorcycle, and will not hesitate to pull out the 44 he has under the seat and unload into you to protect his soul.

Hows the weather up there from some of yalls high horses? If you can say that you would of done nothing if someone intentionally ran you off the road well good for you. Your a of alot nicer person than I am. To make my point again though. I can understand and tolerate people accidentally driving stupid. It me off but hey, there called accidents for a reason. Intentionally doing it is a whole different story though.

All bullshit aside, as a rule you should always avoid the confrontation if you can. Use the abilities of your bike to get away from the douche. Even a 600 can leave virtually anything on 4 wheels in the dust for a short period.

When you're stuck in a situation where you HAVE to deal with it though, like if the dickbag is chasing you through traffic and you get stuck at a light...well...everyone is different as is ever situation and you have to decide what works for you.

Have I punched out a window or two? Yep. Have I gotten physical with a cager? Once - but only because he actually hit one of the guys I was riding with and tried to hit a few more. Most of the time though, just leave the situation as fast as your right wrist will let you.

yup. has happened to me on several occasions. if they happen to stop, I will confront them. but I won't play chicken or brake check while on a bike. that is just asking for trouble.

Young grasshopper... you have a lot to learn.

There are only 2 kinds of drivers out there:

1. The ones who don't see you.
2. The ones who do see you, and want to kill you.

There is no such thing as a "safe" driver in ANY type of vehicle (motorcycles included). EVERYONE gets distracted, road-raged, etc.

Drive/ride defensively, avoid every other automobile like the plague, and try your hardest to keep your cool. Otherwise, you will end up just like most of the new riders: hurt or dead.

Simple rules for this noob:
1. cagers don't see other cars / trucks on the road, you aren't special
2. other riders are douche bags
3. if a rider gets too close, back off or move over
4. if a cager gets too close, back off or twist the wrist and disappear
5. if either puts in effort to make contact, obey the Golden Rule and make contact like they want (there are better things than ball bearings and bullets)
6. accidents are accidents and its YOUR JOB NOT TO GET IN ONE

That being said, I'll ride off shaking my head if someone accidentally spooks me. The intentional swerve hasn't happened yet but my buddy got swerved on and promptly removed that guy's bumper at a red light.

What ever happened to flipping someone off and being done with it?

My point always came across, and never escalated after that.

The majority of the time that's all I do. This IMO was different and me off to no end so I let my anger do the rest. In most other cases a simple middle finger and twist would've sufficed.
