Sorry but AMA is not all that exciting. They have been in a downward spiral for quite sometime and are very likely to cut thier own throats before the end of this season.

In the Article it mentions Colin Fraser. Here is a little FYI on him. He use to run R.A.C.E. in Canada back in the 80's when I was racing. it was a national series and was good for a while, but the same thing that is happening now in AMA happened back then. He ruined Motorcycle racing In Canada. If you didn't kiss his or play up to him you would find Tech hard to get your bike threw Tech, or my favorite... mysterious reports of rough riding, or jumped starts. he is the worst ego maniac on the face of the planet. as long as he continues with AMA it will get worse.

Everything in the stories confirm what everyone feared when DMG took over....that it will be run like NASCAR. The selective penalties with their outrageous fines, catch phases like "partners" when referring to series sponsors, and an iron-fisted rule are exactly what goes on NASCAR.

Hopefully this will be nipped in the bud before everyone becomes too intimidated to do anything. Riders and teams do have other choices to move to unlike pro stock car racing where all the money is in NASCAR sanctioned events and choices are really limited.
