88 Honda VFR 750 street fighter?

A friend of mine has two 88 Honda VFR 750 Interceptors out in his shed that he doesn't want... He told me that one of the engines doesn't have any compression, but there should be enough good parts to put together a running bike and all I need to do is come pick them up... I had a 1991 VFR and the bike was a lot of fun... I loved the sound of the V-Four engine... However, the 88 really needs some cosmetic help... I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find some cool street fighter parts to change the bike up a little bit... Headlights, Brackets, Tail Fairing, belly pan, bars, Etc... I was also wondering if you could swap those old three spoke wheels with the six spoke wheels from a 90s model CBR 900RR... Any input, or help would be appreciated... Thanks.

I'm also delving into the streetfighter conversion... but I'm trying to do it on the cheap. If you haven't already, I would suggest checking out www.customfighters.com. There is a lot of good info there.

I don't know of any local places to find parts though... I really need a 7" round headlight bucket/bracket.

Airtech Streamlining made the tail piece for that ICON Interceptor, but it's a VF1000... They don't have anything cool for an 86 to 89 VFR 750, I've already checked.

Wondering what kind of exhaust that is though.
