from what I can see there is a "stock" class, but from what I am told it is just that usually not enough people show up with stock bikes to run that class, so you have to run your stock bike in the next class up... if there were enough stock bikes at the event they would run a stock class... but then again maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying as I am a newbie at this...
and that is one of the things I was addressing when I mentioned that back in october when I first started looking into the mini gp, there were around a dozen folks talking about getting out there, now with the races only a little over a week away, I am the only one of those folks who actually has a bike ready to go and I will be a fat, old, slow.. novice having to get out there and run with folks who are younger, with more experience, and have faster bikes... but then again I could sit at home and do nothing, have no fun and just complain about it...nah, I choose to get out there and enjoy the out of riding my little bike if I never place in a single race...I still get to ride...and have fun

Dont get me wrong, I love riding TMGP! Most of the folks there are top notch good down to earth friendly people. They run that show for free basically, and do a good job. It just had s not been the same since they brought the 65's in.

And since I am complaining, TMGP needs to have a "spec class" something like XR100 with no mods other than tires. Currently, this is just like any other series, you have to spend lots of money to be competitive. Back when YSR's were the norm, you could go out and race and have a chance, now if you don't have 25 horsepower, you will get run over down the straights.

But you know, like they say, "this is a dictatorship, not a democracy"
the class is supersport, it is a sprint class but it was said that if they had enough bikes show up that wanted to run in this class they would run the class for endurance too

I feel ur pain though, they upped the f7 class to 115cc so now you have these xr motors with with kitaco/takagawa kits(not cheap) that are near as fast as the 65's and there f7 bikes! my ol 110 stands no chance against them but whatever Im gonna ride anyway and have fun

That's a shame. I guess I would've been stuck out. I don't think you can fit a 115cc into an XR70 or XR50 frame.

I looked into going with a 50 based chassis and ditching the klx110, there are some options out there just nothing reasonablly priced... just couldnt justify the cost's just to get to were Im at with the 110 let alone the money it would take to get the engine were it needed to be

I started pricing out the Takegawa stuff this off season. Wow. You could spend more to rebuild an XR100 than a Hayabusa if you wanted.

Thats about the only way I could ever imagine comparing an XR100 and a Hyabusa.
