Nobody is saying there are no rocks on a track. What is being said is, there are fewer than there are on the street and due to reduced use of a track bike, there is less exposure to risk.

They're on the pit straight too. They get thrown up onto the belly pan from the paddock area and then dumped onto the track.

Here's more great similar advice. If you never crash, then you don't need a helmet on the street
