Exclamation Need advice. Oil light is on

yeah so the oil light is on when its running which i believe might be the oil pump/pressure. I dont have the money to take it to a shop and It would suck if all it is is a fuse or something. Anyone have any advice? How hard is it to change an oil pump? What fuses should I check. Anyone in the Dickinson area that could take a look? I'll buy you a 6-pack or lunch or something lol. Any advice is a great help. thanks

The first time I ever changed the oil in my bike, unbeknownst to me, I put to much oil in it. When the oil gets hot it expands, which made even more oil. The oil light came on a few times then went back off (before I knew I had put to much in). I only knew what I did because it decided to freakin explode. lol

If you changed the oil recently, you might have to much or too little??

there are no fuse to the oil warning light. it is hard to change out the pump. check oil level first.

You bought a 2004 Triumph and expected it to work?

On the real good luck with this.. its always nice to try and hold onto a nest egg when buying used bikes cause it seems like its always one or two wrinkles to be ironed out. My 03 SV had a leaky gas cap... which in turn ended in water in my fuel system after the first rain. You live and you learn.

If not recent, when was the last oil change?
Download a manual and make sure the wire is tight on the pressure sensor?
