You know joey (the rider in the green florescent safety shirt) was the sweeper, so you could have gone at your own pace and he would have stayed with you the whole way.

Mr. Bevo once again thanks for putting this ride together it was a blast! It was nice meeting new riders and good to see old riders again. I also want to thank GSS for letting us experience how the track would feel like. Had a great time and hope to see everyone again at the next meet! I hope everyone today made it back home safe and sound! Take care everyone!

Yeah, that was him.

There was some accordion going on, but I never broke 100 (REALLY don't like to when 2up). There was sustained 85 to catch the group... but that was pretty voluntary. Keep in mind, the sweeper will wait for you, and the group was really just barely out of sight, not far ahead.

Also, yes, some people will pass you up and chase down the group after a stoplight/sign... but just go your pace till you catch them.

Bevo, Thanks for leading the ride, and thanks to Fastline and GSS for letting us give a couple rounds. Now I know i don't care which direction, I just need to get into an official trackday.

I have yet to see what my GoPro stuff looks like... the notorious vibrating 650r makes video difficult sometimes. If track came out well, then I have a couple laps behind, Idazzle, the vfr, and some others.

Thanks for putting the ride together Bevo and thanks Joey for sweeping. Wasn't quite as scary as I expected for my first group ride and parade laps. It was great getting to see a tiny bit what riding on the track is like. I can definately see where a full track day will wear you out.

Yea, it helps to be in shape, especially at GSS where you spend a lot of time turning. I recommend doing deep knee bends starting a month before your track day. It will make a difference with leg fatigue.

... Well I spent alot of time in the grass at GSS... 3 times through the course of the day, even drove out to say hi to Cuong while he was working corners.

I even got a little discouraged by that and the fact Cory went down so hard... but....

Actually... If I had it all over to do again and I knew what I would feel like today... ABSOLUTELY WOULD HAVE DONE IT THE SAME WAY!

Honestly I am going to print out the track schedules for all of the schools and highlight and plan which dates... I am determined to get better and it was way fun despite the fact I realized I really am better at offroading on my SV than I am at Road riding

Had a blast! Thanks Bevo, FastLine and GSS for setting it up! The track was smaller than I expected but still a good experience for my first time on a track.

veraiconica, don't be discouraged. It was a good sized group to ride with for your first time. Chalk it up to learning experience and start with a smaller group you're comfortable riding with (sorry if I passed you and made you nervous). I still ride in the back with new groups as do a lot of other experienced riders.

It's easier to make mistakes when you're tired and fatigued. Not saying that happened with you but it can happen.

Well I chalked it up to fatigue and inexperience plus GSS is a very challenging track. I think that if I had done GSS first and then MSRH I might have faired better at MSRH.

Probably .... but remember MSRH is a much faster track than GSS so being on the grass at GSS usually as a lot less painfull than being on the grass at MSRH.

One of the times I was in the grass was at MSRH... The schedule is posted by someone else in Taking it to the Track.

Sure. But I was talking more from a L1 rides's perspective. If you ride L3 like the guy yesterday at GSS (actually I call it L3 as there is no L3 in GSS and L2 is the top speed level) then you can go hard in either track. But being Novice and doing class, you are probably going to be riding faster at MSRH than GSS

At least it happens to me anyways ... I do higher speeds at MSRH than I do at GSS. I can get hurt at either one for sure ...
