Well then you better not ride anymore or do anything with your bike or ask a noob question on here you'll get trampled with a over powering bike superman. I'm not sayin I don't need the class but I'm ight with the basics. I asked for tips not criticism

Im a noob myself bro, and this is my personal opinion! My bike is a 1000rr, and had many people tell me im crazy for that being my first bike. (Partly true) BUT, it sat in my garage for close to a month until i took the safety course. You just need to respect it. I highly recommend the class and then go to the dmv to get your license. Its 15 dollars for the test.

In the course they tought us to use both brakes before the turn and never use your front while turning. 70% power on that front brake, and you will flip if used too much. (Obviously). Ha ha

Be safe and have fun!

^^ Just ask one of the guys that covered it on our SMR. 4-5 mph, went over a bump while covering the front. Accidental squeeze and broke rear plastics, foot peg. had sliders though..

Good stuff. May want to take your bike down for a free inspection just to make sure everything is safe. Some shops will do it free.
