Many suits are sized different. The best thing to do, if you're planning on buying one without trying it on, is to find the sizing chart for the brand.

Go to the manufacturers' web sites. Most have a chart stating the chest, waist, arm length and inseam for a given size and some give a recommended weight and height. All manufacturers use slightly different measurements so a 48 from might fit and a 48 from another won't. No suit will match you exactly so plan to spend some money getting it tailored. I've had my suits tailored at Jesse's which is two doors from Motorcycles Unlimited and at Marcello's shop off Richmond inside the loop (not the one in the Galleria).

I'm 5'11", 245 with a 42 waist and can wear from a 48 to 52 depending on the brand. Also when trying on a suit, leave room for a back protector.

Don't forget if you're 5ft 11in tall with a somewhat athletic build you're most likely a 56 euro 46 US

*im quoting brian van from sbtg youtube video reviews, he says it a lot*

Its a shoe repair place in the same strip center as Motorcycles Unlimited. He also alters and repairs leathers. Its literally two doors down from Motorcycles Unlimited.

Dainese suit.

I'm too tall for this suit but it fits snug like it should but the torso is just too short Picking up a 42.
