Very nice bike but sport oriented more than dual sport. So it depends on what u are looking for. If younwant a dual sport totake off road, imo this is not the bike. Get a gs adventure instead if you need all 1200 cc (we can argue if the gs is an off road bike or not, but imo again, it is far more off road oriented than the duc)

Overall the duc is a nice bike with very coolmelectronics

I sold my FJR and my 1098S to get the Multistrada, as a bike that could serve both roles. That said, it's a great compromise. Not as comfy for the long haul as the FJR, but the wife is comfortable and that was a serious factor. Not as "sporty" as the 1098, but what is? It makes a great commuter and I'm looking forward to loading it up and doing a road trip, like Arkansas. It has great suspension, tons of torque and it gets 40+ mpg. I've even had it at the track, but it is NOT a track bike; I have one of those. Basically I went from 3 bikes to 2 to fill the same needs.
Would I do it again if I were in the same position...yes.
Staton (tojo92) has ridden it(and, mercifully, not crashed it) so he can chime in with his thoughts.

Thanks all for chipping in especially Paul1098. I plan on using the bike 80% daily commute & 20% cruising. Of course, it is subject to weather conditions. Thanks again.
