Quick ride in my turbo bike...(GoPro Vid)

First, I'm sorry about the quality of the vid...This was my first time to mount the GoPro onto one of my bikes so...its a lot more shakey then I thought it would be.....Also the camera slid down once but I resolved it while riding and got it tighter...

Not a lot of action, I didnt want to push it too hard because I didnt know if the camera would stay on, and traffic was ridiculous...... I rolled it on in 6th once, did a 4th/5th gear hit once and one 3rd/4th hit then a Surburban stole my lane.... All the rest of the slight accelerations were part throttle...Had a couple little small wheelies pop up in 3rd and 4th gear, you can barely see them on the vid though.

NOTES..
*On the AMS1000(box right in front of the camera with the green screen) you can see the boost level(numbers on the right side) while accelerating. Its about 15 psi at WOT.... all of the other times you see boost like 7-8 psi is just part throttle....like maybe half throttle..(15psi =320rwhp)

*YES the speedometer is calibrated with a Speedo Healer and close to my GPS...and NO I did not speed up the video..LOL

Sorry if the video is a little too long or too boring..>This was just a first attempt. I will get them better and I need to go to mexico to film them....(less traffic), also I need to get good editor software so I can cut the fat out of the vids.

Any thoughts or tips on setting the camera up to get this same view but make it more stable are greatly appreciated...I was using the suction cup mount but with an extension to give it some height. Obviously its as shakey as Michael J Fox.....I'm going to have to do something else for sure. The windscreen shaking in the wind make it worse then it is but...its still pretty bad.

Make sure to watch it in FULL screen and 1080p....

That was actually the first time I have rode the bike in about 6 months...I wasnt use to it with the last gearing change I made and the big spring in the wastegate so.....It makes a lot of boost real quick and without much throttle needed.... I can ease into it and make 15psi of boost at half throttle....(like I did in the very beginning of the vid...that was barely rolling into it, very easy...) is nasty....It will pull up easy in 3rd on power. If you watch on the hit that I made starting in 3rd, I chopped the throttle after it started to spool up, then got back on it....It still bounced the wheel up a little...

I gotta get the GoPro mounted better and get some real vids down in Mexico......This video is not depictive of how it really feels...

Few thoughts, no particular order:

1. On the awesome scale, your bike is pretty high up there. Yikes!

2. You may not want to start the camera rolling at your house. I realize you have a gate on your neighborhood and all, but that bike is pretty unique and has a lot of wrench time in it. Insurance only covers so much.... Just a thought.

3. Be REALLY careful going that fast on the highway. It is nearly impossible to judge bike speed while in a cage. I ride a lot on the highway, so I would have thought that I could tell how fast a bike is going when it's passing me in my cage. No can do. I tried it a few times - always got it wrong. Now if I can't tell, ordinary cager on the phone certainly can't tell. You're going to get people pushing you into the shoulder, and it isn't going to be malice. Heck, they might actually see you and just have no clue how fast you're going. Just my 2 cents. Houston highways are pretty crazy at times.

4. All bike videos have a little vibration unless they're on a steadicam. Yeah, yours can be a bit more stable. But as it is it is watchable, just fine. Maybe if you can find a place to mount it without the extension....

5. I kinda got mesmerized by your air/fuel indicator though. How does it affect your decisions while you're riding?

Hey, I just noticed that my 3rd point might sound condescending. I don't mean it to - your bike, your ride. That's just the first thing I thought as you were passing the cars. They can't tell how fast you're approaching. Relevant? Maybe. I dunno. I'm sure you save it for the drag strip usually.

Yeah but at the time you were all about drag racing.. NA+spray is usually quicker then turbos. Turbo bikes are too finicky to get them to 60' and 330' well.. They don't have the instant hit. Turbos are better for freeway/high roll racing and land speed.

Sure there are super quick turbo drag bikes but it's a fortune to spend to get one setup to ride well/run well. Quickest Pro Street bike out there now is a big motor/spray bike. Most Outlaw bikes are big motor/spray.

I've been beat on it before.. It's all about the setup. Mine runs its best from 80mph and up... Under that it's hard to ride, not to mention it has a bit of a delayed hit. A big motor/nitrous bike will easily pull on me from the hit, I won't usually catch/pass them till 4th.. Turbo bikes really shine after 140mph...THAT is when they come on hard..

Awesome.
My only complaint is the smoked windscreen.

I've found that if my gopro extensions are vertical they will bounce less than if I have an arm pointed forward. Which sucks, cause i like the angle from farther forward.
