2007 Yamaha yz450f

Just picked one up on the cheap.

Doesn't start though, gets spark, appears to get fuel, my guess is compression, ala top end. So Chad or Motorcycles Unlimited are getting it next week to see what the story is

In the mean time, shopping for supermoto parts!

Dont chastise me for the way its tied down, that was just temporary so I could pull off the barkbusters and use a canyon dancer.

Although that being said, I have been considering making this a learning experience and doing it all myself. Heh.

Hey, if that is my old bike you picked up from McCoy, money is on a carb clean fixing you up. They didn't ride it enough.

Congrats, it' a nice bike.

since you've decide to go the DIY route,

clean the carb. check/adjust valves. Those two tasks you should be able to do on your own.

There are factory service manuals that walk you through the entire process. Make it your best friend.

if you have any questions, feel free to ask away. I've gotten pretty good with these 4-stroke singles.
