2007 r6 midpipe question

So i removed my headers and cut off the CAT inside the pipe are these baffles honey combs looking things lol my question is what will happen if removed?? some people that ive talked to said i will loose HP and other said i will gain HP and be a lot loauder!!

I have done it both ways.. at 1st I had on my bike the mid pipe with the honey combs.. then i did one with out them..

Yes its louder BUT with a long slip on its actually not that bad at all..
I had a GYTR as a 1st slip on and its a lot louder then the AK I have now...

Just did my 05 header mod this weekend.
With my Jardine GP1, it is obnoxiously loud.

Also are you removing the whole muffler setup too?
What are you going to do with your O2 sensor?

the slip on you have on the bike will make a different on the way your bike sounds... you can even use the stok slip on and its not bad at all.. if you use that GYTR that shows on your avatar then this thing will be loud with the honey combs or with out them.. been there done that...
