video recording questions

So I know many, if not most, use gopro of some sort to record many of their trips/rides. I am interested in buying it but wanted some suggestion. First, i am not a video guru or looking to make anything serious but would like to get into making vids and video editting as hobby. This is what i am interested in and if my expectations are way to unrealistic please let me know.

I would like a set up of atleast two cameras and a system which has a delayed recording on it, you know - if i push a button to start recording it will save anything 30 seconds to a full minute before i actually pressed record, make sense?

I dont know how exactly gopro cameras work or set up but i would like a button which will make recording on the fly possible. Thanks for your help and advice in advance.

pressing record means just that. nothing is going to read your mind and record without being activated to do so.

There are cameras with remote shutter releases, and delays, but your not gonna get that with a simple camera like a gopro. Your best bet is to just record what you need and edit out the blank footage. Get one and play with it, you wont regret it. As far as software, use the Movie Maker program that comes with windows until you get a better program like Vegas or Premiere Pro

Bingo, yes i want it in case i miss something and still have it on camera...i know systems/ devices like this exist, probably expensive but worth looking into.

Figures...hope macs worth all the hype, all i ever hear is how macs are so much better and i grew up on pc. These things arent cheap or even reasonably priced for me to comfortably jump into one.
