a scorpion exo 700 saved my head. when i fell off the bike at 70mph. no cracks or compress foam. just scrapes on the outer shell.

It depends on what you want to put in it. For $77 that's kinda expensive for a place to put your dirty socks until laundry day. But for you pumpkin, I'd go with what everyone else is saying...Shoei or Arai, spend a little more now and it can make the difference in your life later.

My brother got pulled last night on Hwy 6 for obscured license plate. The rookie cop was cool, but the vet that was riding with him gave my brother a hard time every which way. He then called him out on his Icon helmet (which I also think is ) and said that it has to have a DOT sticker on it. I know that in the past you had to have the sticker. Do you still need it?

Anyway my bro asked the officer if he should strap the helmet to the back of the bike and ride without it, since he has the required health insurance and is old enough. Do you need to have any other documentation to ride w/o helmet, or just Ins. card? Kind of a meaningless question as we always wear helmets, but was just curious.

I believe its just an insurance card to ride without helmets. I asked one of my cop buddies last time his bike was in here. As far as the stickers I don't know it used to require a dot sticker and probably still does.

Should not matter one way or the other you should always were a helmet...and if times are tight any helmet is better than no helmet as long as its DOT approved.

I had a wal mart bell helmet for a year, less wind noise than my scorpion exo 700, pretty comfy too. They're not snell cerified only DOT

I had a Fulmer till it broke and bought a BELL to surve as a temp helmet. Later bought a HJC and hated it so I went back to the BELL until I get my helmet from Patrick. The BELL has more padding and less wind noise than the HJC.
