Motorcycle involved in hit-and-run accident

A truck driver hit a m/c this morning on I-45 just before the loop around 6 am. Any news or information?

I don't know who to believe now. Two stories of hit and run, and now one of debris...

STAY AWAY FROM TRAILERS and always expect the load to come at you. I always avoid loaded down truck beds and trailers. You cant be surprised if you ride like its GOING to happen.

+1

A trailer carrying hay bales outside of bandera was giving me a weird vibe so I slowed down and gave him about ten car-lengths. Not a minute later a bale fell out, right where I would have been. Anticipation trumps reflexes.

I must have come in late, because it looks like everything is saying rider lost control due to debris from the truck, no hit and run. Still, the truck driver should be held accountable for not securing his load.

I saw a friggin Dodge truck lose a cooler full of beer on 228. Funny thing is, dude had a tailgate, but it was down! Guess he thought the vortex effect would keep in it there over inertia. There was a guy broke down on the side of the road, who I guess, had been praying for a beer. He threw his arms up in disgust as all the beer was destroyed by traffic.

Exploded and smashed cans flying all over the place. I'm sure I got have traversed the battlefield on my bike, but I was happy I was in my truck.

SMH... Shooting off your load too soon is always bad...

All joking aside... The PD need to slap the truck driver with some serious charges... a man could have died.

Simple, if you unintentionally kill someone thats Man Slaughter... if you unintentionally attempt to kill someone... ATTEMPTED MAN SLAUGHTER!

everyone is responsible for securing their loads. doesn't matter if it is a grandma moving her couch or a professional moving a tank. falls off and hurts someone, YOU are responsible

^^^

It still qualifies as a hit and run. If you cause a collision, whether you physically contact another vehicle or not, you're still required to stop.

Nastiest case of this phenomenon I ever saw was an 18-wheeler toting large solid metal ingots, about a foot and a half around and about 3 feet long, start spraying them all over the freeway, for about 2 miles. About 30 vehicles hit them, tons of damage.
