This is one reason I have yet to get a power commander.

I got ~57mpg for the first 10k miles on my 650r, not it's around 50-51mpg.
4.1gal tank meant I could wait till 200, then fill up at the next stop (or in other words, every other stop (or more) on most group rides). First time I had to push it to a station at only 195miles... I was not so happy.

Motor sputtered, I pulled over, texas exit to the feeder, right on next street and back tracked 2 blocks to the nearest station. It died waiting in the left turn lane to pull into the station.

(I use fuel log app to track my mileage, and go off the odometer for every tank, even though there is a low fuel light.)

Oh, and my truck get ~16mpg... so the bike gets ridden a LOT more.

Depends on the tune, I'm sure.
Yes running lean creates more horsepower, but also has potential for an engine to wear faster.

I was running a Graves race tune on my PC3 and it was leaned out up top for power and rich down low, so when I was just cruising, it sucked gas down. It was great for the track, it was not tuned "for my bike" though. I'm sure it will be a different story with this Bazzaz though hopefully.

Yeah my 636 fuel light came on right at 100 miles usually. I took it to 130 on a regular basis before filling up.

Guess I can stop complaining about 200 then. 5 Gal tank though. I hit the blinking light around 200 so that is ' get to a station fast' mode.

The sportster hits reserve at 115-120

Fuel light comes on around 220-230 miles on the VFR. Figure I got another 15-20 after that to bone dry but I haven't put it to the test yet. Of course the 5.8 gallon tank helps

I can do 200+ miles easy on my KLR if i'm stretching its legs hard. If i'm just cruising at a nice 60mph on a long trip it will do 300+ miles no problem.
