Whats going on?

Hey new here to the bike scene, been looking to get one pretty soon.

Thought I would join the community and learn some knowledge and insight.

Im looking to get a Ninja 500r / 600r in the coming months. (late 80's to early '03) It will be my first bike, I have been learning on my friends'. ('03 R6 and '89 FZR600) I love it so much.

I was also looking into the Hyosung bikes, if anyone has any information on quality and/or issues with them.

Thanks in advance!

Glad to hear you're getting some practice in before making a blind purchase

G'luck, welcome; personally I think you'll find more people suggesting something shy of a supersport ("SS" - like the R6); generally a 500cc engine goes with small "sport touring" type bikes which are much better for starter bikes.

If you haven't done so already, take the MSF class A.S.A.P. - it'll fill up when riding season starts in the springtime, which is just around the corner.

Thanks for that. I've found some good deals on the 650s. I'll be looking more into them.

Yes most definitely, I understand the reasoning behind staying with a smaller bike/motor while in the beginning stages. Though I am pretty comfortable with the 600cc since it is what I have been learning on.
