Where to procure oil/oil filter?

Where in Houston do you guys purchase your motorcycle oil and filter, when due for a change? I'm not keen on paying to have it done.

Wixfilters.com. You can look up your motorcycle to get the filter #, go to an o'rillies auto parts store. Check your owners manuel for reccomended oil types. I can use 10-40w in mine. The filter costs $8.95, and I buy a synthetic oil so it costs me around $40.

Pretty much any bike shop should have what you need. Just pick one close to you, buy a good quality filter and use a motorcycle specific oil.
If you don't feel like doing it yourself we do an oil change and 23 point inspection including lubing and adjusting the chain for $49.50.

I bought a stock of Wix filters from discountfleetsupply.com. Oil, Rotella 5w-40 if you want synthetic or Rotella 15w-40 if you want dino oil.

rotella 15-40 is great oil, but not all bikes like it. I ran it in everything until the busa. it just didn't act right. prolly had a lot to do with the oil pressurized cam chain tensioner

Yeah, OP has a 250 so I told him what I have been using. It's in bulk and is cheap good oil and can be found at wal-mart and other stores.
