HIT FALLEN TREE

Hit a Huge tree that had fallen across the road last night on FM 2978.

Anyone know if the city / TXdot is responsible for this?

Liability insurance only and TRUCK is totaled...

, good thing you weren't riding. You're probably screwed by "act of " for having anyone else pay for the damage.

that's called a road hazard... which is your responsability to have insurance. same thing as a cracked windshield, gravel hitting you for following too close..
hitting a refrigerator or sofa on the freeway and so on..

sorry about your truck

Are you sure it's going to cost more to repair it than what it's worth?

If you only pay for liability coverage, you only get liability coverage.

To the OP, sorry about your bad luck, or maybe it's good luck since you weren't hurt.

I get that, but I was referring to the concept itself. It is a complete cop out so they don't have to pay.

Since it will cost so much to fix, if the rest of the truck is not ragged out I might be willing to buy it. If the price is right
