we make the most of our $50 bucks....ride 3-4 hours Saturday afternoon and then race on Sunday....more betta' competition on Sundays and makes the 2.5-3 hour drive not seem so bad. So to answer your question, I think the 3 of us won't be coming home until Sunday.

Lee/Cliff-We should minimzie rides and carpool. I can haul all 3 bikes on a trailer (or we can use my trailer if one of ya'll wanna drive one of them monster trucks ya'll own) , we can also meet at my house (off 290 on the way out/in town). Lemme know what's up. boom. 4 more days!

I'm kinda wanting to leave early (hella early, even if I have to drive myself) b/c my wife is having a baby shower on Saturday and want to be long gone before she puts me to work. lol That said, I should be there to cheer you on bud.

Splitting a room sounds good to me. Leaving my truck at your house....hmmm let me dig up an old thread, lol. I was hoping to leave closer to noon, but I think earlier might be doable. The wife was talking about the shower with me the other day and thinks she will be going.

What time is considered "hella early"? Is that like pack the night before and leave before the sun early? Or like 9am and I usually sleep till noon "hella early"?

If we care to watch James get beat up by 8 yr olds then I would think one might need to leave before sun up....I'm not opposed to wasting 80 bucks in gas if I have to ride alone.

real numbers. I can do just about anything really. The real deal is filling the wife in on my scheduling so that she can plan her day with C.R.J.R.

leave your place at 8am? or is that cutting it too close?

let's shoot for an 8:30 arrival so a 9 am departure is feasible. This gives us time to transfer gear, trailer and what not if needed....

Lee, care to ride/bunk with us?

Course Update and to answer a few questions.

Last year there was a lot of stickers/thorns/Xtremely long nail looking puncture sticks, call them what you will, but there were a lot. This year I don't expect the thorns to be near as bad as they were. I am not seeing the same amount, plus up front we did not mow. That was a large contributor to number of flats. Bushes got cut down and thorns were thrown everywhere.

NOW remember this is Central Texas and mesquite and funky looking thorny trees/bushes abound, So memorize this

I NEED TO SLIME MY TIRES
I NEED TO SLIME MY TIRES
I NEED TO SLIME MY TIRES

I'm just sayin!

Course is in and almost finished. How SWEET it is! Not sure yet how long it is or what the loops will take yet but it is loooooooooooooong! Has a little of everything, 95% woods, several new sections, lots of challenges , some off camber up/down turns many creek crossings , a couple logs and some other surprises !

Thursday night I will post up mileage and estimated lap times. Maybe video if I can/have time.

45 minute courses, there are 2. Q and U will have a short course but the other 45 minute classes get a longer course this time. Lots of woods for you 45 minute racers to enjoy.

No on the 30C class, only 30a or 30b.

Lets Go Race!

I *might* race 2 hour B, but I should probably stick to 1 hour C b/c of my knee. My main competition is running 2 hr open B....mind you he's 17 yrs old and has nothing to lose.

Day of registration allowed....absolutely....but if you can break away, come out Sat. afternoon for some fun "hot laps" to get to know the course.

I'd love to come out and play Sat afternoon, but I don't think it'sin the cards. Sunday was hard enough to get the green light.

Let me know what rigs/bikes you are all on and I will find y'all. I know Dbuck rides the YZ250, plate 67B.

I haven't taken a pic of my bike in awhile. Its transformed quite a bit last week from the last race I did on it.

just tried a new cleaner that I read about on thumpertalk...works great!

you just spray it on! foaming tire shine spray. I just coated the entire bike with it, and wiped off the excess about 10 minutes later.

not bad for my beater
