TXORR Hare Scramble Cedar Creek,TX Feb 25/26

Next event is only 2 weekends away at Cedar Creek, TX. Just outside of Austin. I doubt my camper will be ready by then, but I'll be making this one regardless and plan on a hotel nearby. Hope to see some peeps there....I'll likely head out Sat. AM, make it in time for open practice and then race on Sunday.

As soon as I see a flyer, I'll post the link.

this is the property that claimed my ACL, huh? I guess in a way it is, but I'll be going about 70% my normal pace I'd guess.

I know you're asking CLiff, but I'll always make room for a new rider as well. I also plan on staying the night somewhere nearby in a hotel and hope to find one or two more willing to do the same to share the cost. Cliff and I usually ride together or along with a number of other fellow racers. It's much like trackdays, people everywhere willing to lend a hand.

I don't know much about this property though, last time there I crashed less 500 feet into my practice lap which has had me sidelined since.

I'm not 100% sure if I will do the ride/race sat/sun or just race sunday. the wife had expressed some interest in going, but I'm sure she's already over that idea.

i'll try to make my mind up by the end of this week. most likely there will be extra room in my truck for others.

Headlight is fine. Not much sand. YOu should put Slime in your tires for this one.
Casper is not going so I'll have room in my truck if you need it. I'll go up Saturday and then get a room for the night. Sign up for D class and you'll be fine. Pm me if you want to come along.

what Lee said.

My only warning that I can give if the course remains the same is: there's a long straight along a fence that suddenly ends and drops down into a gully. Go too fast and you will end up in the top of a tree. Don't ask. I just thank Lee and Casper for dragging me out of there.

The place was great, but my bike ran horribly that race, producing another one of my many DNFs that I picked up last year.

Chris, I suggest you run D. I will run the 1 hr D on Sunday. I'm wanting to go up the Saturday and hotel it, but I still need to talk to my wife about her plans. If the truck is empty, you can definitely ride with me.

flyinduc and I did this property last year, it was fairly easy going, i was able to finish with time to spare for a second lap but decided against it cus my homies flyinduc and dbuck were out of the race.

it had some pretty fast sections but for the most part, it's thick, slippery with rocks and a slow ride. i enjoyed it alot, i have a wedding to attend that day so depending on the times, i'll be there as long as i can make both events on saturday.
