Tried to jack my bike

I came out this morning to go to work at 6:30. I was going to get into my truck and I noticed the taillight of my bike was on. I have not ridden the bike in about a week. It looks like there is a little dent around the ignition. Any ideas on what I should do? Daniel

put your bike in a garage. At this point there isn't much you can do other than be extra cautious and keep your bike safe.

1. sell it before it get stolen
2. keep it in the garage
3. buy theft insurance on it for about $15K and let the thief steal it so you could buy a new one next year. (Check out Pete the insurance man on this forum about the theft part)

Call police? That would alert the authorities and allow them to sweep the area for... nevermind, they already know where the donuts are

they will most likely not do anything about it.

Theft insurance, lo-jack, alarm. Good heavy chain and lock.
Make your bike invisible/inaccesible when not in use.

maaaan !!! what's with all the theft here lately. The other day, we was dropped off at our vehicles at the I-10 and Katy van-pool parking lot and one of my Marine's camaro had been broken into. They stole his stereo system and just this morning, when we got to work, there were cops all in the parking lot because apparently 10 cars were broken into overnight. Our parking lot is fenced in and not to mention has barbed wire running along the top. WTF, I've never seen Houston's crime like this before. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Avoid exposure :icon_bigg to unwanted audience. Bikes are almost like cleavage . If you keep them exposed, you are gonna attract even the unwanted people. Keep it inside.
