Question Mogee Help Plz

Along with the effort to declutter and organize the house, I'm trying to address other issues as well. I've been riding around with this for years:

plates

My inspection sticker travels in my backback because the grinder safety plate that it's attached to keeps falling off. I'm sure everyone knows better than to even ask.

So the help I need is this:

Mogee's an '06 600rr. What is--emphasis here--the cheapest, easiest, most aesthetic way to fix this mess? As in, "Look Mala, click this link, enter your credit card info, and someone you know is bound to be able to install this even if you manage to suck so bad it ends up as another failed fix-it project. Clearly I don't want the mess that comes from the factory.

Side note--why do they put that on there? No one likes it. . .

Preemptive Responses:

1. Yes, it's a serious request.
2. Yes, I know my lack of mechanical knowledge manages to transcend stereotype and reach the realms of the fantastical.

Head to cycle gear and pick up the license plate inspection bracket plate. I think it's like 6 bucks and pick up some reflector bolts to bolt on your plate to the bracket. I have some extra reflector bolts but you're all the way down SE. I also have some LED stalk turn signals too if you're needing some...

no, but you can buy one on your way over or we can rig something up a little better than that.

BTW, I keep my inspection in my wallet, right next to my insurance. Its not on the bike.

Or you can just stick the inspection sticker on your swing arm. I've seen a few people do that.

Appreciate the offer! Actually, Vmaxgirl gave me integrated lights for him for my bday, but they're still in the box. Figured I'd just spring that on Princess at the same time.

Gotcha--gotta admit, was fair question since you have a lil bit of everything in that garage.

I won't get in trouble for not having the sticker on the bike?

You could. The law is subject to interpretation

TRC 548.255
ATTACHMENT OR PRODUCTION OF INSPECTION CERTIFICATE.

(a) An inspection certificate shall be attached to or produced for a vehicle in the manner required by department rule.

(b) The department shall:

(1) require that a certificate for a motorcycle be attached to the rear of the motorcycle near the license plate; and

(2) adopt rules with respect to display of an inspection certificate for a moped.

My stickers have been on the swing arm forever. NEVER had an issue with cops. No even when pulled over.

I've encountered problems with inspection places unwilling to place the sticker anywhere but right near the plate. That's why it's currently on such a weird thing...I got desperate one day and just farmed rigged something.

Can anyone suggest a few inspection places here in Clear Lake that won't be jerks about putting the sticker on the swing arm?

I have always used Inspector Quick near 8 and Spencer. In and out in less than 10 ALWAYS. No problems ever. Even when my horn failed to function and I didn't have a plate light.

I need an inspection now as well. Gotta find a place that doesn't mind my rear brake not activating the light.

Tried to find this one on a map, but the only ACE Hardware I can find is on Bay Area. Wanting to head out and get the inspection sticker...anyone have any other Clear Lake area suggestions? Places that wouldn't have a problem putting the sticker on my swingarm?
