GSXR1000. Lots more "Speed" in the corners than a fat zx12

I'd lose that sig btw... We all break laws, but bragging about felony evasion doesn't sit well in these forums. Nobody is going to take you cereal unless of course you are trying for the Darwin award.

So, did you like the blackbird more than the cbr 1000? if yes, then zx 12 might be better of the two..Are you a tall heavy guy? if yes...the zx 12 might give you more leg room...Hope that helps...., buy both and ride them till you find the bike right for you...

I am 6'4" 240 pounds and my zx12r is the most comfortable bike I have been on for me. but it is big and weights about 550 pounds. it is not the fastest in the corners but you can got to a 190/55 to help with handeling. instead of the 200/50, for the rear tire. this is what texlurch recomended to me, and from his experience on his zx12. hope this helps

I have an 02 gsxr1k. It's been a good bike and handle superior to any zx12r I've ridden. That said if I could do it over I'd be on a zx12r. It's beefier faster in straight line and far superior in ergonomics and comfort. I don't track race so I think my next buy will surely be a big green monster

All boils down to what type of riding you plan to do.. If both bikes are set up well then it will boil down to the rider.

So far as weight versus handling, the only time you notice is during tight left-right snaps.. and unless you are on Deals Gap or the track you won't see those.

Flat out speed even the new GSXR1K will have trouble hanging with a decently tuned 12R.
